Jackie L and 2017 MGSC Futsal information

Mentone Girls' SC student, Jacqueline L (Year 10), competed for Bayside Futsal Pirates at the 2017 Craig Foster International Tournament on the Gold Coast. The Under 16 team played eight games and won all eight games which is an amazing achievement in elite sports and it is a record for any female Futsal team in the history of the tournament. The Girls 16s now have USA Futsal's World Cup in Orlando to look forward to, as they qualify for that tournament by winning the Craig Foster.

Mentone Girls' SC will continue its close relationship with Bayside Futsal Pirates by entering a Year 7 and 8 team into the Friday night competition which is run out of the schools gymnasium. The 2016 Year 7 team improved dramatically throughout the Term 4 competition, picking up the skills and game play very quickly.
